Frequently asked questions

How do I move the shards?

Drag a shard with one finger to move it and use two fingers to turn it to the right angle. Once it's close to its spot and facing the right way, it clicks into place and the crack fills with gold. The first vessels have only a few pieces, so they're a good place to get used to the gestures.

What happens when time runs out?

You have five minutes per vessel. When time runs out, you can start over or watch an ad for an extra minute (up to three times per vessel). Losing never undoes your progress: vessels you have already mended stay mended.

How do hints work?

A hint shows you the next shard and where it goes. You get up to three per vessel: the first is free and the next two come after a short ad. If the ad doesn't load, you still get the hint. If you haven't placed anything for a while, the game will offer help on its own. The clock is paused while an ad plays.

Why does the game have ads?

Kitsungi is free and funded by Google AdMob ads. There is a banner below the game screen, and rewarded ads you only watch when you choose to, for a hint or an extra minute. The banner sits outside the play area, so it won't catch stray taps while you drag shards.

How do I change my consent for personalised ads?

In the European Economic Area and the UK you can do this in the game: gear icon ▸ Ads ▸ Ad privacy settings. Tracking permission (ATT) is in iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking. Without consent you'll see ads that aren't based on your interests, and the game works exactly the same.

Where is my progress saved?

Mended vessels and settings are saved on your device only. The game has no accounts or syncing, so your progress doesn't carry over between iPhone and iPad, and deleting the app erases it.

How do I turn off the music or sounds?

Tap the gear icon on the map or while mending a vessel. Music and all sounds each have their own switch there. The same menu has the music credits and lets you replay the opening story.

What languages is the game in?

English and Polish. The game uses your system language, which you can change in iOS Settings ▸ Kitsungi ▸ Language.

Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 18 or later.

Found a bug or have an idea?

Let us know. In the game, choose gear icon ▸ Contact ▸ Report a bug or Suggest a feature. We'll prepare an email with the game version, device model and system version, which helps us find the cause faster. You can also simply write to the address above. We read every message.

Where can I find the privacy policy?

You can read the full Kitsungi privacy policy here.
