Kitsungi
The Celestial Dog has shattered the Vessels of Light. Mend 75 porcelain masterpieces from five Chinese dynasties with seams of gold, and free the dragons that will bring back the Sun.
What awaits you
Piece it together in 3D
The shards lie scattered across a lacquer tray. Move one with a finger, turn it with two and fit it to the vessel. Every piece has its own place and its own angle, and when it fits, it clicks home with the clear ring of porcelain.
Seams of gold
Every crack fills with gold, as in the Japanese art of kintsugi. A mended vessel doesn't pretend it was never broken; its scars make it more beautiful. Once it's whole, turn it around and admire it from every side, like a piece in a museum case.
75 vessels from five dynasties
Qing, Ming, Yuan, Song and Tang. From blue-and-white vases and lotus bowls to celadons, “hare's fur” tea bowls and three-colour sancai jars. Every vessel has its own shape and pattern, and each one comes with a short note on its history.
Set the dragons free
Each dynasty is fifteen vessels along a dragon's back. Mend them all and that era's dragon regains its colours and takes flight, opening the way to the next. The game opens with the tale of the Celestial Dog and Cilong, the Porcelain Dragon.
A growing challenge
The first vessels break into just a few pieces, so you can learn the gestures at your own pace. Later ones shatter into ever smaller shards. You have five minutes per vessel, and if you get stuck, a hint shows you the next piece.
A calm, painterly world
Ink-painted landscapes, cranes in the distance, music for each dynasty and porcelain that rings at every touch.
